Composition: Gabapentin 400mg + Nortriptyline 10mg Tablets

Mechanism of action (MOA)

  1. Gabapentin: Binds to α2–δ subunits of voltage-gated ion channels in CNS, thereby reducing neuronal excitability.
  2. Nortriptyline: Inhibits reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, thereby enhancing descending inhibitory pathways
  3. Evidence-Based Efficacy: Combined therapy showed significantly better response (61.5%) versus mono-therapy (Gabapentin: 38.8%, Nortriptyline: 41.2%) in neuropathic pain.

Indications

  1. Diabetic neuropathy
  2. Post-herpetic neuralgia
  3. Chronic low back pain with neuropathic component
